Lucy had such a tough and long rehabilitation after arriving at the sanctuary with her 10 week old foal, Ollie. Lucy went from totally unhandled to being one of the sweetest mares I’ve ever met. She found an INCREDIBLE home with her fellow arabian friend, Charlie. These two have gone to live on a massive property in their very own horse herd in a 300 acre paddock! What an absolute perfect young man Toby is! He has now gone to live with the perfect family to match his perfect personality with his feline brother. I could not be happier with Toby’s forever home!

She is learning lots of new things like recall so she can continue on her journey to being the most perfect companion ever. Congratulations Paul and Coco!

  • Wally - 12th June 2021

After a bit of a turbulent start with this big dorky boy I was overjoyed when the wonderful humans that adopted little Moo decided to add Wally to their family! Wally came such a long way while he was in rescue, he overcame a lot of different issues, the biggest one being his spacial awareness of how BIG he is! Wally and Moo now live together beautifully, and while they’re a strange match being so big and so small, they work brilliantly together.

  • Moo - 7th March 2021

The lovely Moo, she was found in the pound at the age of 9 and she won hearts all throughout our community. Moo was skinny and had some skin issues and a kennel coat to brag about! Our wonderful foster carer picked up the lovely Moo to find that she is one of the smallest little ladies we have ever had through rescue. An absolute treasure of a lady, she refuses to act her age and still enjoys a big zoom and spinnies with her favourite toys. Moo was not in rescue long and managed to find a forever home with a lovely couple who already had a mature greyhound. Moo and her new sister now really enjoy each others company, Moo shows off her zoom skills daily and also her nap skills. Could not be happier for this older lady that she found her perfect match!

  • Ruby - 3rd March 2021

What a little fire cracker Ruby is! Ruby came from a rural pound and traveled many hours to start her new life at the sanctuary. She very quickly showed us how incredibly smart and sassy she is, huge character and wanting to go go go ALL the time. Now named Ruthie, she is living it up as a city hound. Ruthie LOVES her ball, she is zooming every day keeping her high energy in check. She particularly enjoys a swim in the harbour chasing her ball (or someone elses) amongst all her fellow doggy friends. I am so delighted that Ruthie has now found the most perfect home for her, allowed to have bed snuggles and have her very own human - amazing match! Go forth and live your best life Ruthie

  • Sadie - 21st November 2020

This was a hard one for me to let go, the gorgeous Sadie who stole the hearts of the whole community, it is impossible not to fall head over heels in love with the Sadie lady! She has been adopted by an amazing greyhound family and now has a little brother called Viktor and has three kitty cats to keep her company. Sadie came to me here terrified, shaking and broken, while we couldn’t do anything surgically to help her with her badly healed hock (from a previous break/shatter) she is on a pain management plan and has also started physiotherapy and hydrotherapy to see if that can help her. So far she is not letting it stop her live out her absolute best houndie life possible! She enjoys walks with her little brother, zoomies in the backyard and sleeping on the couch, and then more couch cuddle time. We all love you Sadie lady, she has hit the jackpot with her new amazing family.

  • Gracie - 21st February 2021

Gracie has had quite a journey with us here, she arrived with the most horrendously painful toes, so we had radiographs done ASAP. It was determined that she had broken her little toes so many times that she had chronic osteoarthritis in the joints, there was very little that could be done. Gracie spent a substantial time in foster care while we all constantly scrambled trying to work out what on earth we could do to alleviate this lovely little girls constant pain. She was put on pain medication and the journey of finding a solution started. We consulted with top surgeons and many vets, nothing surgically could be done, so we got creative! Researching various dog boots and we ended up landing with a pair of sturdy boots that we could build up inside the boot and voila! She was comfortable! It only took a few weeks of on and off wearing the boot for her toes to settle and inflammation to really recede. She now has found her amazing forever home with a family on a farm alongside chickens and horses. Gracie is completely chicken friendly and LOVES her life on the farm! She has a great time doing big zoomies and then big naps. So very happy that this beautiful lady could finally have her Happily Ever After.

  • Edison - 6th February 2021

What a journey Edison has had the last few months, just WOW! Edi-spaghetti has experienced some pretty big highs and some very awful lows, but we got there in the end and now he has the most perfect forever home with his new brother Toby where he is loved beyond measure. Edison is one of the most unusual cases I’ve had, from being a frightened and actually quite aggressive dog, to then slowly becoming one of the most super chilled and happiest boys I know. His journey has touched many hearts, he will be missed here at the sanctuary, but I will always have a smile on my face knowing he is in one of the best greyhound homes ever. Good boy Edison! He will always have a place in my heart.

  • Riley - 10th October 2020

Our special boy Riley has been adopted to a lovely couple who live on the northern beaches. Riley will be living it up in his very own apartment, enjoying walks around the neighbourhood and meeting up with fellow doggo friends. Riley is absolutely adored (and a little bit spoilt!) in his new home, just as this previous guy deserves. Riley came to us here a terrified, underweight and did I mention terrified young houndie, he still has some hurdles to get over to adjust to his new life as a beloved pet, but I have no doubt he will get through everything with the loving home he has found himself in. Way to go Riley boy! Can’t wait to meet up with him again down the track for doggy play dates!

  • Sasha - 26th September 2020

The beautiful Sasha has been adopted! I am SO beyond happy that Sasha has found the most perfect family.
